CHAT Which world? Which culture?

Inspired by the Rosenfelder, I'm working up a couple pages for "You know
you're a Kash if...." and "You know you're a Gwr if...." . Very interesting,
and a good way to get started on things I've never really formalized.
Oddly, or maybe of course, the Kash are turning out to sound like pretty
neat people, whereas the Gwr, at least so far, a sounding a little...sour.
Interesting, because I've always envisioned them as most like us....(Maybe
we'd be sour too if we lived in the equivalent of Siberia...but I'm sure
even Siberians find some joy in life?).

Can anyone think of a culture here on Earth that is characterized by
resentment and regret for lost glories? (lost, I might add, by their own
foolish action...)

Anyhow, these two quote from Czhang are quite apt for Kash culture, and con
permiso I may include them in the page---

"...we may be able to prove conclusively that all men are born with
potentially brilliant intellects...and that the source of cultural
creativity is the
consciousness that springs from social cooperation and loving
interaction...the
majority of us live far below our potential, because of the oppressive
nature
of most societies." - John Blacking

"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more
violent. It takes a touch of genius --- and a lot of courage --- to move in
the
opposite direction."
 - E. F. Schumacker
