At least in Netscape, you can disable JavaScript without disabling Java. =

course, that means that pages using JavaScript won't work, but I don't =
run
into those very often (and when I do, it's less annoying to reenable
JavaScript temporarily than to close all those Geocities ads that pop =
up.)
