   Aha! I got Fontographer when I was in school, and I
could afford it because I got an academic discount.
You should be able to get one too, and thereby pay
only $160 (at least, that's what I paid a year or two
ago). Go to the Macromedia website, all the details
are there, and you can see if it will be something you
could do. All you have to supply is proof that you're
a student (grades or class schedule will work).
