Hmm. I thought "domo" was from Latin "domus."
I don't have a reference to hand, but it has always seemed to
me that within the Romance group, the largest contributor is
French. Conjunctions and prepositions tend to be from Latin.
Horse = cxevalo (Fr. cheval, L. caballus)
To run = kuri (Fr. courir, L. currere)
To cook = kuiri (Fr. cuire, L. coquere)
To climb = grimpi (Fr. grimper, L. scandere)
