Exactly. That's what my father achieved by forbidding conlanging and fantasy literature! :) //Cristina writes: well, I think it is too late now. In my house-hold we NEVER had a tv worth watching, and the computer was for "work only" ( parents' work, not mine). However, I did get reading restrictions, which did turn into a forbidden fruit.
