There has been lots of flamebait lately, but surely not "nothing
but flamebait". I have been involved in some fruitful on-topic
discussions lately, see below. But you are right that it is
currently especially bad.

Yes, this is all a big bucket of bilge that has recently been spilled
on CONLANG.

Please don't go. While lots of dreck has been posted recently,
it is not really that bad. There are still people around here
who conduct good-mannered diucussions about their conlangs.
Have you seen the two threads about Silindion, where Elliot and I
discuss various aspects of our conlangs' grammar, for example?
And every departure of a conlanger because of trolls and flames
in the list worsens the signal/noise ratio, and is a victory for
the trolls.
