    See, now this is what we should be doing!  Why can't we all get paid to
create realistic dialogue for Star Trek and other languages?  Sure, they have
Klingon, but do they have Vulcan or Romulan or all those?  There were Vulcan
words on that episode.  Where did they come from?  It's no damn fair.
    Concerning the scene above, I found it funny that (a) such a profound use
of tone was used in that trill (sure, there are plenty of tone languages, but
utilizing a tone that high?  I wouldn't want to.  Maybe it was a language
birds spoke), and (b) they were two weeks away from the final and yet they
were still stuck on the phonology!  She must be a pretty crappy teacher. ;)
