Indeed you must have been. Summary: Matt sent a post describing how he'd been approached to create more Vampire conlang for the sequel-- Prof. Victoria Fromkin of UCLA had devised the lang. for #1 (which has been airing with some frequency on TNT or USA or one of the other movie channels. Stars Wesley Snipes. Gory, but quite interesting actually). But she has since passed away, and no notes etc. could be found. He asked the producers for X amount of dollars, and they lost interest immediately..... He wondered if he'd asked too much, and the consensus was that he had not. There ensued a considerable thread about Version 1 of the Blade Vampire language. Check the Brown archive; it may not be in the Yahoo one. Some people have (almost) all the luck. Roger. ObConlang: Kash upan 'to receive'; cakupan 'said of s.o. for whom everything seems always to go right; who always gets what he want-- admiringly, but with a tinge of envy'
