According to my previous method for translating names, Connecticut was "kènérikèt" in Tirèlhat (pronounced [k@'nE4Ik@t]), essentially the same pronunciation as in English. But I'm not sure that translating intervocalic English /t/ as Tirèlhat /r/ is a great idea, since it could be ambiguous with English /r/. So for now it's "kènétikèt". Tirèlhat doesn't translate the meanings of names even if they're known: New Jersey for instance is just "nu-xhêrzi" [nM'dZ@rzI], not "zhumi-xhêrzi". -- languages of Azir------> ---<http://www.io.com/~hmiller/lang/index.html>--- hmiller (Herman Miller) "If all Printers were determin'd not to print any @io.com email password: thing till they were sure it would offend no body, \ "Subject: teamouse" / there would be very little printed." -Ben Franklin
