I've emailed the Bantu master himself (Prof Larry Hyman) of Berkeley, and he mentioned that even the "experts' still argue what is the tonogenesis in Bantu tones. SO the information is out there, in small bits.. But yeah, I too search consistently for register tone info out there on the net.
