Just something I noticed:

Russian for a sound not found in that language. That sentence could be cleaned up a bit. Is the letter used in Russian? It took me several re-readings to figure out that it didn't have to mean it wasn't used. I like the script. I don't know much about Russian or Cyrillic, so I won't do too much critique. I do like how you incorporated some conhistory and cross-language misunderstandings.
