The archives would have told you that there's some reference material
available at <URL:http://www.diku.dk/students/thorinn>.
However, X-SAMPA is a system devised for professional linguists who
know all they need of the IPA already, so the references do use quite
technical language to explain the values. If you need something to
explain the terms used in phonetic transcriptions, Google might help.
