I use this to express if something I'm using breaks/doesn't function
properly, or if the item in question is simply trash. To express
misfortune or disappointment I would say "fuck" or "bollocks", Hungarian
"baszd meg" (= "fuck it"), or Serbian _pitSka materi_ (= "mother's cunt")
> "bloody" - anger/frustration
Here I would use the same, or Hungarian "baszd meg", or Serbian _pas
mater_ (= "dog-NOM mother-ACC", short for "pas ti jebo mater", roughly,
"the dog fucked your mother"), though that's more Croatian; Serbs would
more likely say something like _jebem ti duSu_ (= "I fuck your soul") or
_jebem ti boga_ (= "I fuck your god").
> "fuck" - contempt
See, this I would use more like you suggest usage for "shit". In Hungarian
I would use one of the following here:
"baszd meg"
"faszomat" (= "my cock-ACC")
_pitSa:bA_ (= "cunt-ILLAT")
or one of many other colourful expressions suited to this. Hungarian has
a wonderful garland of abusive words, as does Serbian/Croatian. :)
