Complex?! What do you make of Devanagari then?! :))) The Arabic script is far
from complex, in fact rather easy, as long as you don't try to read
handwritings (especially Eastern) which are much more indistinctive :)) .

Well, good luck with your project! It sounds as complex as my project of making
a Romance language sound Arabic enough and yet keep the Romance feeling
(approximately as much as French does :)) ), through a naturalistic set of
sound changes, if possible as complicated as in real life and spanning over
nearly 2 millenia :)) .
