English notation/conlang scripts

I just thought that with all this debate about the
english notation system I would say, with perhaps a
few small exceptions, I would like to keep the English
script the same. Can anyone suggest a truly neccesary
reason for changing it? - it seems to be doing quite
well as it is - and it would lose much of its depth
and what beauty it has if the script was made regular.
Incidently I have created a new script for Elenyo -
not exacty original though - a sort of mix of Greek,
Tengwar, Arabic and the Roman alphabet.
One thing I did want to ask though was who here, when
using their conlang, works first in the lang's native
script as opposed to the Roman alpha..
