It sure would. Old English had a change of (word-initial) fn > sn, e.g. sneeze < fne:osan (although the AHD4 calls this example an 'alteration,' suggesting to me that it wasn't a regular sound change, but still...). But I like /fk/ :) -- Eric Christopherson / *Aiworegs Ghristobhorosyo
