No idea, but YYMMDD notation is common in Sweden. Indeed, I've probably
confused more than one anglophone by using it in English-language context on
the 'net. Nowadays I usuall spell things out ("the Dth of M, Y"), because I
can't bring myself to write DDMMYY.
