'otaku'? It means 'you', or, more formally, 'you, your house, your
chattels, and everything about the world that is distinctly yours'. the
first person equivalent escapes me for now. Any conlangs with a word
with this meaning?
Of course, in common parlance, it merely means 'you', but can more
easily be translated as 'geek' or 'nerd'. When used in English, it
refers to manga/anime fans, but in Japan, 'geek' is a good translation.
I am resigned to corrections by native Japanese speakers.
