'otaku'? It means 'you', or, more formally, 'you, your house, your chattels, and everything about the world that is distinctly yours'. the first person equivalent escapes me for now. Any conlangs with a word with this meaning? Of course, in common parlance, it merely means 'you', but can more easily be translated as 'geek' or 'nerd'. When used in English, it refers to manga/anime fans, but in Japan, 'geek' is a good translation. I am resigned to corrections by native Japanese speakers. --- Fabian Rule One: Question the unquestionable, ask the unaskable, eff the ineffable, think the unthinkable, and screw the inscrutable.
