English and its influence on other languages

Well, although I wasn't brought up multingual (but *could* have been), my
mixed heritage has given
me a 'multilingual brain'. Fellow conlangers will no doubt see this as a
great advantage in this hobby. I'm guessing that I personally have about 4
language slots, currently filled with English, French, Japanese and
'Slavonic'. I did Russian at school, but visits to Czech and Poland have
ensured that I will now never reliably speak any of those again. I know a
fair number of words in each, but I have no way of telling which the words
belong to.
