In Aristophanes' comedy _The Acharnians_, there is a reference to the
Great King (of Persia) taking an 8-month excursion to "the Golden Hills",
which is cleverly rendered in the Arrowsmith translation "the Crapathians".
(He adds by footnote that of course the Persian Empire did not extend
so far into Europe.)
