Kudos to your friend; this is excellent.
Add one more similarity between the Third Reich and the USSR (and any
totalitarian regime, it seems)-- the use of a secret police, not only to
hunt down "real" dissenters, but also, through fear and intimidation, to see
to it that even mildly dissenting individuals think twice before speaking
out.
