Well(s), good! BTW do American kids spell that word {fother}? :-) Not in general, but I suspect that's mostly because (1) it's a word we learn so early that it just doesn't tend to get misspelled and (2) we learn it at the same time as "mother", with which it doesn't rhyme. Since "father" is a perfect rhyme with "bother", it wouldn't be an unreasonable spelling. -- Mark J. Reed <markjreed@...>
