Then what is "complex"? English is complex. If you look at syntax. Latin is
complex, if you look at morphology.
english syntax became more complex, when morphology was simplified. ...
Swedish syntax got more complex, when we got the suffixed definite article.
( I think this evolution is one of the proofs that language can indeed
become more complex).
(Of course, this is all simplifications of "How It Really Is, The World As
Only I Can See It", oh dammit, I'm getting philosophical again...)
