I would probably buy an actual globe (one of those old cardboard ones)
and, using oil paints or similar, paint the conworld onto it. It could
thus be considered, perhaps, not just a picture of the conworld but an
artifact from the conworld and how the cartographers there envision
their world.

Barring that, the paper pasted onto an old globe sounds ideal.
