Czech also has some frightening consonants, especially the r-caron,
considered by Guinness to be the most difficult sound to master. (The
Guinness obviously never heard of Ubykh or !Xu~.)
Before I became slightly more linguistically enlightened ;) with
things like everybody's favourite large phoneme inventory natlang
!Xu~, I used to spread this piece of trivia around, which I am
regretful of :)
Actually, my IPA book transcribes that sound as /r/ with the fronting
diacritic. Would this be an accurate transcription of the sound?
