In the little storybook I made for my girlfriend, the first line (which
would have called for "once upon a time" in English) had nothing of the kind.
I just ran right into it. I can still remember the whole first line:
ZedIv bAjs g&nIT pat b&kIl Zilt&Z dZaratu vAjn selIS ?AherISuT kAldZ Zilta
remIS.
A knight of golden armor and shield rode across the plain of grass on a
golden horse.
(I didn't want to invent a word for "pricked", lest it remind too much of
Spenser.)
