In Canotaea, an epic tale might start "Olosete!" (listen, 2nd person
plural).
A children's story might start:
"Liiánnada osyq qindo..." literally "Of a wee day it was when..."
li- = a tag often used to denote affection (e.g., libiale = sister, from
biale 'brother'); in this case, it sets the tone for the story.
ianna = day, morning
-da = of
osyq = be, past tense 3rd person singular
qindo = when
