I've seen worse things done to the nation "Obrenaja".  Usually a
metathesis to "Obernaja".  I'm lucky not to hear them pronounce
it as /,ow.br*`=."nej.dZ@/.  ;-)

(Note: I'm using my own convention where X-SAMPA /\/ can be replaced
by /*/ for reasons of readability and aesthetics...)
