The freeware version doesn't do real-time streaming audio or video (not that I'd have any use for them) and a few other things that aren't necessary for my purposes. Any synthesized quality of the Cispa samples (Cispa is the name of the language, the people who speak it are Zaik) is probably a result of the filtering and compression applied to the sound. But I'm sure it would be easier to get alien voices if I had a vocoder. I wonder if there are any good software simulations of vocoders out there?
