Strange indeed. Have you tried going to www.bablestone.co.uk directly and
clicking your way through the page from there?
As for D-macron for example, this is best done with combining diacritics I
think, but be aware that some popular Unicode fonts don't work properly in
this respect, i.e. the diacritics get misplaced.
As for A-macron coming through as Ā, that is probably because your mail
program doesn't know that the encoding should have been UTF-8 for whatever
reason. You can usually switch the encoding manually.
