The Kasshi's "Week" had a similar origin. However, unlike your Senjecans, they did not adopt a fixed, equal-length week. Instead, each month is divided into four quarters (of fixed, but not equal, length). Thus, they have 6-day "weeks" and 7-day "weeks". When they adopted a solar calendar, the quarters were revised, but they still remained variable in length.
