Seems somewhat similar to Biblical Hebrew use of the "abstract
infinitive" (if i remember the term correctly), a form of the verb
sometimes used on its own as a imperative, but usually just used
together with a verb to emphasize it:
_(lema`an) yadoa` teida`_
(so that) know you will know
="so you will surely know"
_saqol yisaqeil o yaroh yiyareh_
stone he will be stoned or shot he will be shot
="he will surely be stoned or shot"
_hageid hugad li_
tell it was told to me
="it was surely told to me"
