Epsilon or /E/ in CXS/X-Sampa. Reversed espilon or /3/ is a central vowel
of the same height like RP 'bird'.

Well, if you want to send an é or an è or a ö or a þ or an æ or any other
letter not used by American English, you have to set your email client to
send in either Western European (ISO-8859-1, Latin-1, WinLatin-1) if it's
just a simple one used by e.g. French (apart from (oe)-lig), or if its
more complicated Unicode. At the moment, your mail client is sending in
US-Ascii, which doesn't contain this characters, and so you get widely
varied treatments (the character was totally stripped somewhere between
you and me for me, so I just saw '"njps"').
I'm not sure how to tell Yahoo! Mail to do that.
