Ugliness is in the ear of the beholder. :) I admit that [njE] feels more
natural than [nje], but why then put an acute there? It's not to
indicate emphasis, since that's where it would fall naturally. I can
only deduce that it must be to make the <e> sound like /e/ instead of
/E/.
