I was fortunate to find Kuznetsov listed in The Book of Smith as the Russian equivalent of that popular English language surname. I find my name in Russian as pleasing as in English. Probably internationally Kuznetsov is easier to pronounce than Smith.

This is where I retreat to the Teach Yourself Russian on the bookshelf. Actually I found all the words very quickly, although it had znakomiy instead of znakomstvu. If they are close in meaning then I am glad to make your acquaintance also, Vasiliy Yevgenyevich. - andrew. -- Andrew Smith, Intheologus hobbit@earthlight.co.nz Resistance is irrelevant. - The Borg It is not irrelevant, it's a hippotamus. - Flanders and Swann
