Yes she did. I remember telling her about an Andalusian speaker I had met
that spoke an extremely marked dialect (such as [Bwerto] for 'vuelto'), who
notably pronounced /d/ as [D] in all positions. I said, "He always
said 'ðe' instead of 'de'..."; she replied, "what's the difference?". Darn.

Thanks. That's darn bulky though, so I'm sure I'll end up writing [hj] to
avoid messing up the word too much. SAMPA doesn't really work when it comes
to super- and subscripts.
