As every seminarian learns, the New Testament was written entirely in
Greek. There is said to be an original Gospel according to St. Matthew
written in Aramaic, but it is the only one. Apparently the New
Testament, as we now have it, was written solely in Greek. There is no
evidence, but for St. Matthew, of any gospels or letters written in
Aramaic.
