Hence our decision to go with Majordomo, which can handle large lists (I
believe the BLKBRD-L and BBADMIN-L lists hosted by Arizona State for
Blackboard sysadmins, which has several thousand members use Majordomo),
but is easy enough to use for small ones too.
But you're absolutely right, none of these are perfect and they're all a
bit of a kludge added to the mail system.
