Well, I used to be a 13-year-old conlanger,
although that was 24 years ago. Anyway being
13 and a conlanger is not all that unusual in
the small world of conlangers. We have had/have
a whole bunch of 18-year-olds, and IIRC some
15-year olds. Unless they have taken up the vice
quite recently they were probably at it already
at your age too. I think that Ray Brown, who is
now in his sixties(?) took it up at around your age
too, as did Sally Caves, who is now forty-something.
The problem is that in the old days before
the internet conlangers could not usually get in
touch with each other, so each onetended to believe
that s/he was the only one. I had the fortune to
have a High School Latin teacher who was an
Esperantist, and altho I stayed clear of Religious
Esperantism (actually finding Esperanto uningenious
and boring -- I spotted the unsystematicness of its
vocabulary immediately) he encouraged my interest
in both conlangs and linguistics. I also knew
that there were other artlangers, Tolkien and
Edgar Rice Burroughs being published evidence of that.

My lang Sohlob, albeit an artlang-cum-linguistic-typology-
laboratory, makes the distinction by insisting on genitive
phrases rather than compounds, like "bulb light's broken"
or 'broken light's bulb' with English word order. (Except
that the Sohlosjneng are pre-industrial, and thus don't
have any such thing! :)
BTW I'm facinated by your surname, since my third given name
is Jung -- in my case not a Germanism, but a dialectal
Swedish pronunciation of John.
