This depends. For Aredos (based on PIE), I generally give the odd etymology or natlang cognate where I feel it might be interesting. Arvorec derives from Gaulish, again I occasionally give an etymon, especially if borrowed from another IB language. But for my few completely a posteriori languages (such as Dweinasen, Kansu *used* to be a priori but seems now to be a rather warped descendent of Sumerian) I don't bother giving etymologies. Of course, if I ever get round to publishing any of the lexicons I've built up they will contain etymologies.
