To illustrate my point on the star variation, I've found a bunch of banners with the star on it, but this one is almost exact: The flag of Anglican Communion: <<http://www.mrflag.com/display_product.asp?id=1514&category=123>> Rather than purple, the background is dark blue, and then there's a symbol in the middle and a crown on top.
