While the idea of using the Tower of Babel is interesting, I'm not sure it really works well. The more Biblically-inclined might note that (a) the building of the tower is portrayed in the Bible as a sin, and (b) the proliferation of languages that follows is portrayed as a punishment. So I'm not sure that we're on the right side of this metaphor, if you know what I mean. On another flag: Barry Garcia's suggestion at http://www.netyp.com/member/dragon/temp/conlangflag.htm is unpleasing to me. The mouth & tongue seem too cartoonish. What we have here is a flag sticking its tongue out at the viewer. Also, the arrangement of a triangle on the left side with horizontal stripes on the rest of the flag is too reminiscent of certain real-world flags. The fact that it looks something like the Czech flag is harmless enough, but the first thing that popped into my mind was that is reminded me of the Palestinian flag. I think that brings up political associations we'd rather avoid. (Objectively, I suppose it doesn't look _much_ like the Palestinian flag, which has 3 stripes, not 2, and a different color scheme, but for some reason that's what came to mind.) Doug
