Re: Natural Semantic Metalanguage

All this on a "Natural Semantic Metalanguage" seems quite'airy' to me -- that
is without much substance. Very littlenew here IMO but the hype. The "prime
concepts" hardly go beyond the table of correlatives in Esperanto or what one
might find in similar descriptions of various natlangs. Can't say that
something new and valuable may come fronmthis, but I would not guarantee that
it will. Some peoplestill use Roget as a semantic structure, as weak as it
is!Someone should do a better job. Let's hope so.Regards, Leo J. MoserSent

Semantic MetalanguageHello!I'm using the Natural Semantic Metalanguage as an
aid in core vocabularycreation, but the problem is, I don't know exactly the
semantic space of theproposed prime concepts. Someone here knows, or can
otherwise help?I
have read what's online herehttp://www.une.edu.au/lcl/nsm/index.phpbut it still
leaves questions.- Veoler
