Not entirely. Most of my own compositions are modal, and incidentally I have
used Lochrian and Lochrian-like modi, too. Therefore, my personal experience
tells me that Lochrian is not hypothetical at all. However, is is highly
instable, and usually proceeds quickly and painlessly into some other modus.
