Ah! Yes, I use SAMPA. In SAMPA, aspirated k is /k_h/, the underscore
indicates superscripts. In that case, _k_ in "kill" is an example. If
you intended it to be identical to German _ch_ of Bach, then /x/
would've been the symbol in SAMPA, and, I think, Kirshenbaum.
