What does the [^] represent? (Normally, such symbols are used to
indicate the the vowel represents something slightly different from the
cardinal vowel; the symbol you gave would make it slightly higher
than normal)
Around here, I've heard [hait[T] before, but never anything lacking
the diphthong.
