Aha. (checking omniglot again) But the Maldives aren't exactly SE Asia
(quibble). And I am possibly wrong, but isn't Sinhala script _ultimately_
derived from Brahmi too? BTW, _Ahom_ (Assam/India, Tai, extinct?) has a
nice Brahmi derived script too.
