I can't remember if it was from here or not, but I once had a link to
a screen capture of the Telugu characters in a Unicode font - as I
remember, I found the characters horrendously complex but charming...
I'd say that such scripts are prone to simplification by the writers
if they are being used as everyday scripts for writing.
