Since Audiogalaxy's demise, I have sadly to agree with
the first one. Not that there's any useful file
sharing programs out there any more. Unless you meant
normal network stuff, in which case Samba
<http://fr.samba.org/samba/samba.html> works a charm.
Movie watching... I don't care much about movies, so I
have no idea. I think there's a program that'll read
at least MPEGs, if not more.
As to the scanner, well, you buy your hardware for its
Linux support, not buy Windows for its hardware
support ;)
But yes, you're generally correct.
Tristan (currently using Windows because the only
soundcard he's got that's capable of recording ATM
only has drivers for Windows. But I have two other
perfectly good ones that don't seem to want to record
ATM for whatever reason.)
