Oh, no, they exist almost everywhere. They often have names in no way
related to the English words "money order" but they can be found -- usually
through the post office. If your nation belongs to the International Postal
Union your post office sells money orders (maybe not your neighborhood post
office but the big ones), They are seldom to never used in many countries,
but they are available. I know because for three years I was the
international admissions coordinator at a small college in the US and our
application fee was requires to be paid in the form of an International
Postal Money Order. I got the things from just about everywhere -- Nepal to
Namibia, Germany to Japan, Botswana to Bolivia, Papua New Guinea to
Equatorial Guinea. The only country I can't recal getting one from is
Nigeria. Nigerian applicants would always have their Auntie come by in
person with cash.
